Darryl Clare, PhD, GISP
Founder | CEO
Born in Harlem, New York City, and spent my childhood in Manhattan, Queens, and the Bronx. I lived in New York City until I turned twenty-one. I then moved to Berkeley, California, and started working in a Montessori preschool as a bicycle messenger. Later, I entered the industrial construction industry and eventually became an insulation company business owner.
After earning a B.A. in Business Management from Saint Mary’s College of California, I worked as a Secondary School Mathematics Teacher in Malawi, Africa for two and a half years. I successfully proved that Malawian females could succeed in Mathematics and Science, and my students did exceptionally well, with all of them graduating and becoming productive professionals in Medicine, Law, and Education.
I enrolled in the University of Florida, where I earned a Master’s Degree in Urban and Regional Planning with a minor in Geographic Information Systems. I went back to the University of Florida and completed a Doctorate Degree in Geography with a minor in Geographic Information Systems and Urban and Regional Planning.

This plan has steered us through major projects such as overhauling our trainee experience, focusing on Connections, Academics, Resources, and Engagement, improving operations, and enhancing trainee success and job placement rates.

Our Vision:
To be recognized as the community development program of choice.
Join our quest to create meaningful change in the community. In May 2012, we asked the local community a critical question:
"What kind of change would you like to see, and what are you willing to do to make it happen?" Your input is valuable to us as we work to ensure that any development, we pursue is not only hard-earned but also community-owned.
We are thrilled to have successfully launched several programs, including the Summer Flight Academy, the Childcare Development Apprenticeship Program, Business Development, and Collaboration Building.
We believe these programs can help us achieve our goal of creating a better community for all. Join us today and be a part of the positive change you want to see.
