The Community Connection Summer Flight Academy is a program designed to introduce young individuals to the world of aviation. It is hosted at the STEMCAT Center, a premier training facility located at
3903 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr Blvd,
Fort Myers, FL 33916.
Our summer youth program is designed to provide a structured and exciting aviation experience to the youth.
Overcome the Barrier
For many communities, an aviation career is beyond their imagination. We discovered that camp programs for young people can cost more than $1,000 per week, far beyond their families’ means.
They also don’t see many people who look like them in aviation-related fields.
The Solution
Our intention for the Community Connection Services Summer Flight Program is to offer first-level exposure to the aviation industry by providing aviation career exploration for middle and high school students.
The Community Connection Services Summer Flight Academy participants learn about aviation and history, theory of flight, and other aviation-related subjects. Students will have the opportunity to go on field trips to aviation facilities and participate in other hands-on activities designed to give students a total aviation experience.
