The Community Connection Services (CCSI) Initiative

The Community Connection Services Initiative is designed to create an arrangement of diverse learners of all ages and backgrounds to feature their experiences and hear their perspectives, show how their CCSI program participation increased opportunities for underserved populations, and bring awareness to other career seekers who may be interested in becoming employed. 

Our Key goals for this Initiative include the following:

• Create a platform for participants/program graduates to share their experiences and educate career seekers on the benefits of the CCSI Comprehensive Career Development Approach as an affordable pathway into a secure career;
• Connect with participants/program graduates and collect viewpoints from the participant perspective to identify innovative ideas and strategies to improve, strengthen, and expand our CCSI Comprehensive Career Development Approach;
• Increase support for underrepresented and underserved populations by educating the public and potential participants about the benefits of our CCSI Comprehensive Career Development Approach as a means of accessing good, high-quality jobs that provide stability and security for workers and their families;
• Provide a professional development opportunity for participants/program graduates, including life skill building in financial management, teamwork, leadership, and public speaking;
• Create networking and mentorship opportunities for participants/program graduates;
• Serve as champions to promote our CCSI Comprehensive Career Development Approach through outreach activities and collaboration.
